What is Rotavator in Agriculture?




Rotavator a piece of popular farm machinery widely used by farmer all over the world. It is known for its convenience and efficiency to farmers. We all know the quality of soil has a great impression on the produce being grown. Soil development is essential for seed germination.

Rotavator is a type of tractor attachment implement uses rotating blades to shift soil for seedbed construction. This not only prepares the field for sowing but also destroy weeds stubbles of paddy, sugarcane, maize, mixing compost or fertilizer, cuts prior crop residue and associating in the soil, breaking clods, etc. thereby, promotes soil health and save fuel, cost, time & energy. 


Rotavators are powered with tractor PTO, the rotary motion of the PTO is transmitted to the shaft bearing the blades within gearbox and transmission system.
